We need a little Spring in our Steps
has left us... everything brown and dead looking, branches everywhere.... but today it went up to 70!!!!
We were like ants rushing out of a burning log.... and we grabbed our rakes..and brooms and began to uncover Spring... yup.. it's there and coming in strong.... It was wonderful to sink in the mud and clip dead wood and peek down under the leaves and see the green stuff coming... lovely
The birds were singing away...and chasing each other... we even discovered a new one in the neighborhood, we had not seen all winter...Brown Creeper... adorable bird... will have to paint him sometime...
Yes.. we did find daffies coming up...and we all gathered around it and just admired it as if we found a pot of gold... it was a great day... but... tomorrow they say snow... ha... it just can't last... too much happening out there to keep Spring from coming... it will just be a teaser...and won't last...
I have a wedding to do for Sat... so will be busy with gorgeous Spring flowers for 3 days... will post pictures next week... until then... enjoy the anticipation of Spring... it is always a spectacular event... never get tired of it...
