Bits of the Season

The Sunsets have been spectacular... Winter has the best Sky... it was actually more intense than the photo here...but just took it with my cell phone...
Decided to do batches of biscotti for gifts this year.. I made gingerbread and cranberry almond... they are great with a good cup of coffee
made many Christmas cards... sold some and used some.. love sending cards...
This reminds me of the stable where baby Jesus was born... it is actually my cousins barn in Maine, her sheep waiting to go outside
I have done several seasonal paintings.. sparrows are always my favorite...

My daughter's Mantle.. we made the magazine trees.. lots of fun...

Christmas projects

The Hanging of the greens..started... and we had fun making wreaths... using what we had and foraging
what we needed......greens... It was so fun.... then onto card making...
I have a fun group of cards this year...and thinking up more...they can be found on my Etsy shop
www.etsy.com/shop/watercolortales ,.... I think sending cards beats just sending emails....
There is nothing like opening mail....and hanging up a beautiful Christmas Card.....

Fall is brown

Love painting the brown leaves... this fall... and just love the shapes and textures...
having fun with shadows...and small things... like acorns... pine cones... and nuts... those little things
that I consider a treasure to be picked up and decorate my table for the season, like picking shells off
the beach...

Fall Flourishes

I know I always hate to see summer go..but when Fall arrives and slowly displays it's beauty, I am
so captivated by it.!! The colors and textures just inspire me to paint and create...the sight of those red trees
on a grey purple day are breathtaking.. Fall steals my heart away.. and summer is put to sleep. Fall you
are a intense beauty... and I anticipate your color everyday...
