Japanese Ink Painting

Today I gave a short quick demonstration of Japanese ink painting to my grand kids... It was fun to see what they would do with it...
We got through the 4 gentlemen... Bamboo, wild orchid, Plum blossom, and Chrysanthemum
but they all loved the Panda bear...
James, who is 6, enjoyed it the most and was the last one to leave the table... I think he really enjoyed doing the Bamboo, and put his panda in the same picture...
wish I had taken more pictures... it was a fun day.

Hi I found your blog by googling Japanese ink painting. My boys and I are beginning a study on Japan and I thought this would be a fun activity to do. Now I am not artistic(but my boys are!) and so I was wondering if you could recommend any sites or books. thanks so much. Great to see a grandmother spending time with her grandchildren, they are lucky to have you
